Yankees activate OF Thames from DL (AP)
Yankees outfielder Marcus Thames has been activated from the disabled list after rehabbing from a strained right hamstring. He was on the bench for New York on Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Outfielder Chad Huffman was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Thames was hurt June 12 against Houston and made four rehab appearances for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
